Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §8307-B is enacted to read:

§8307-B.__Four-year program

A center or region shall provide a 4-year vocational education program to an eligible student under section 8305-A.__Along with all other requirements of this Title, the 4-year vocational education program must provide instruction in the machine tool, tool and die making, electrical, plumbing and heating, drafting, electronics and carpentry fields.__The commissioner shall adopt routine technical rules to implement the provisions of this section pursuant to section 8306-A and Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter II-A.

SUMMARY

This bill requires that vocational centers and regions provide a 4-year vocational education program for high school students and adults.
