Sec. 1. 24-A MRSA §2707-B is enacted to read:

§2707-B.__Notification of cancellation

A health insurance company shall provide by first class mail to the insured at least 10 days' prior notification of cancellation for nonpayment of a premium.__The notice must include language indicating that if the premium is not paid within 2 weeks, the policy is cancelled.
