| Sec. 1. Establish program. Resolved: That the Department of Human |
| Services, referred to in this resolve as the "department," shall |
| develop a prescription drug reimportation program, whereby the |
| State, through the department, acquires prescription drugs from |
| foreign jurisdictions and acts as a wholesaler for these |
| prescription drugs to pharmacies located in or out of the State. |
| In creating this program, the department shall strive to maximize |
| cost savings to be realized by consumers of prescription drugs |
| and minimize the overall costs to the citizens of the State of |
| establishing and operating such a program. |
