| Sec. 1. Medicaid reimbursement for independent living services. Resolved: That |
| the Department of Human Services shall adopt rules to amend its |
| state plan to provide Medicaid reimbursement to providers of |
| independent living services who provide services to nursing |
| facility residents who have established a plan for relocating |
| back to the community. Reimbursed services must be provided by |
| licensed medical professionals, including, but not limited to, |
| registered nurses, registered occupational therapists and |
| certified occupational therapy assistants. Independent living |
| services include, but are not limited to, outreach, assessment, |
| skills training and case management. Rules adopted pursuant to |
| this section are routine technical rules as defined by the Maine |
| Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter II-A. |
