| Sec. HH-2. Grants provided. Grants provided pursuant to this Part |
| must be equitably distributed across the major geographical areas |
| of the State. Effective interventions must be implemented using |
| research and best practices from the federal Centers for Disease |
| Control and Prevention and other recognized authorities. All |
| grantees must coordinate with the local health care delivery |
| system, education system and other appropriate community members |
| and community organizations. Funds may also be used to reduce |
| physical inactivity, poor nutrition and other risk factors in |
| order to reduce tobacco-related diseases. School programs funded |
| by grants provided pursuant to this Part must be used to reduce |
| tobacco use through coordinated school health programs. These |
| school health programs should focus on comprehensive school |
| health education that includes tobacco prevention education. |
| Support may be provided for school health services, including |
| those services provided by school-based health centers, that |
| include tobacco cessation and prevention services. Grants |
| provided pursuant to this Part must have eligibility requirements |
| that allow eligibility for grants to both new and existing |
| school-based health centers. |
