| Sec. 1. Medicaid reimbursement for persons with brain injuries. Resolved: That by |
| January 1, 2002, the Department of Human Services shall adopt |
| rules to amend its state plan to provide Medicaid reimbursement |
| for supervised housing to a person with a brain injury. For the |
| purposes of this section, "brain injury" means an injury caused |
| by external means other than hereditary, congenital or |
| degenerative factors to the brain of a person that results in an |
| impairment of cognitive abilities or physical functioning or a |
| disturbance in the behavioral or emotional functions of the |
| person with the brain injury. Rules adopted pursuant to this |
| section are routine technical rules as defined in the Maine |
| Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter II-A. |
