Sec. 1. Department of Human Services to change eligibility requirements under
Medicaid. Resolved: That, by January 1, 2002, the Department of
Human Services shall adopt rules to amend its eligibility
requirements for household income under the Medicaid program by
exempting income of a household member derived from providing
personal care assistant services to another member of the
household. Rules adopted pursuant to this section are routine
technical rules as defined in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title
5, chapter 375, subchapter II-A.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve directs the Department of Human services to adopt
rules to amend its Medicaid household income eligibility
requirements by exempting income derived by a member of the
household for providing personal care assistant services to
another member of the same household.
