| | | Sec. 1. 5 MRSA §4655, sub-§1-A is enacted to read: |

| | | 1-A.__Relief for plaintiff.__If the court dismisses a petition | | for a protection order or consent agreement to bring about a | | cessation of harassment, the court may order the plaintiff to pay | | court costs or reasonable attorney's fees. |

| | | This bill allows a court that dismisses a petition for a | | protective order to order the plaintiff to pay court fees or | | reasonable attorney's fees. |
