| Sec. 1. Department of Human Services to change reimbursement for personal care |
| assistant home care programs. Resolved: That, by January 1, 2002, the |
| Department of Human Services shall adopt rules to amend its |
| method of reimbursement for personal care assistant home care |
| programs to provide an average cost of services. The department |
| shall determine the average cost of services for personal care |
| assistant home care programs based upon past reimbursement |
| information and shall adopt rules to annually adjust the average |
| cost of services for inflation. Rules adopted pursuant to this |
| section are routine technical rules as defined in the Maine |
| Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter II-A. |
