| | | Sec. 1. 5 MRSA §285, sub-§11 is enacted to read: |

| | | 11.__Supplemental coverage; Medicare-eligible retirees.__For | | those retirees who are eligible for coverage under this section | | and who are also eligible for Medicare, the State shall pay 100% | | of the retirees' share of the premiums for Medicare Part B only. |

| | | Sec. 2. 20-A MRSA §13451, sub-§6 is enacted to read: |

| | | 6.__Supplemental coverage; Medicare-eligible retired teachers.__ | | For those retired teachers who are eligible for coverage under | | this section and who are also eligible for Medicare, the State | | shall pay 100% of the retired teachers' share of the premiums for | | Medicare Part B only. |

| | | This bill requires the State to pay Medicare Part B premiums | | for state retirees and retired teachers. |
