| This bill proposes to reduce the unauthorized use of licensed |
| snowmobile trails by all-terrain vehicles and other unauthorized |
| users. Current law prohibits the operation of a 4-wheel drive |
| vehicle, dune buggy, all-terrain vehicle, motorcycle or any other |
| motor vehicle, other than a snowmobile, on snowmobile trails |
| unless the use is authorized by the landowner. This bill would |
| establish such a violation as a crime of criminal trespass or |
| recreational vehicle trespass. This bill would also require that |
| such trails be specifically marked, designating what type of use |
| is allowed by the landowner. |
