| | | Sec. 1. 7 MRSA §1342, as enacted by PL 1999, c. 765, §3, is amended | | by adding after the 2nd indented paragraph a new paragraph to | | read: |

| | | For purposes of this section, "operated" means that a person | | has operated a commercial large game shooting area during the | | period beginning October 1, 1999 and ending March 15, 2000 if | | that person has purchased or sold hunts for that commercial large | | game shooting area. |

| | | Current law allows a person to establish or operate a | | commercial large game shooting area only if that person operated | | a commercial large game shooting area between October 1, 1999 and | | March 15, 2000. |
|
| | | This bill provides a definition of "operated" to mean the | | buying or selling of hunts. |
