| | | Sec. 2. Commission membership. Resolved: That the commission consists of | | the following 14 members: |

| | | 1. Two members of the Senate, appointed by the President of | | the Senate. When making the appointments, the President of the | | Senate shall give preference to members from the Joint Standing | | Committee on Transportation; |
|
| | | 2. Two members of the House of Representatives, appointed by | | the Speaker of the House. When making the appointments, the | | Speaker of the House shall give preference to members from the | | Joint Standing Committee on Transportation; |
|
| | | 3. The Commissioner of Transportation or the commissioner's | | designee; |
|
| | | 4. The Executive Director of the Maine Turnpike Authority or | | the executive director's designee; |
|
| | | 5. Four public regional representatives, appointed by the | | Commissioner of Transportation: |
|
| | | A. One from the region north of Augusta; |
|
| | | B. One from the region south of Augusta; |
|
| | | C. One from the region considered eastern Maine; and |
|
| | | D. One from the region considered western Maine; |
|
| | | 6. A representative with bond counsel experience, appointed | | by the Executive Director of the Maine Turnpike Authority; |
|
| | | 7. Two registered professional civil engineers, appointed by | | the Commissioner of Transportation; and |
|
| | | 8. An economic planner, appointed by the Commissioner of | | Transportation; and be it further |

| | | Sec. 3. Chairs. Resolved: That the first named Senate member is the | | Senate chair of the commission and the first named House of | | Representatives member is the House chair of the commission; and | | be it further |
