Sec. 1. Rural fire department surplus computer donation program. Resolved: That
the Department of Public Safety, Office of the State Fire Marshal
shall create and implement a program in which computers used by
State Government and scheduled for surplus are collected and
distributed to rural fire departments as determined by the State
Fire Marshal. A fire department receiving a computer donated
pursuant to this resolve must use the computer to access the
State's emergency and public safety databases.

 
This program must be carried out within existing resources.
All hard drives in the computers must be completely erased before
the computer is donated.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve requires the Department of Public Safety, Office
of the State Fire Marshal to create and implement a program to
donate computers used in State Government to rural fire
departments so that those departments can access the State's
emergency and public safety databases.
