Sec. 1. Exempt bona fide education trust funds from family income. Resolved: That
by January 1, 2004 the Department of Human Services shall
adopt rules to amend its criteria for determining eligibility
for governmental support for families with children by
exempting bona fide education trust funds from the computation
of family income. Rules adopted pursuant to this resolve are
routine technical rules as defined by the Maine Revised
Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve requires the Department of Human Services to
exempt bona fide education trust funds from the computation of
family income when determining eligibility for governmental
support for families with children.
