| | | Sec. 1. 30-A MRSA §742-A, sub-§5, as enacted by PL 1995, c. 380, §6 | | and affected by §10, is repealed and the following enacted in | | its place: |

| | | 5.__Adoption of final budget.__After the public hearings | | pursuant to subsection 4 are completed, the advisory committee | | shall adopt a final budget and transmit that budget to the | | county commissioners.__The county commissioners may not | | further increase, decrease, alter or revise the budget adopted | | by the advisory committee. |

| | | This bill gives final authority for approving the Cumberland | | County budget to the Cumberland County Budget Advisory | | Committee. |
