Sec. 1. Rulemaking required. Resolved: That the Department of Human
Services shall adopt rules amending the principles of
reimbursement for nursing facilities to increase the amount of
income that may be retained by the resident of a facility.
The amount that may be retained by a nursing facility resident
must be increased from $40 to $50. Rules adopted pursuant to
this Act are routine technical rules as defined in the Maine
Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve requires the Department of Human Services to
adopt rules increasing the amount of income that may be
retained by residents of nursing facilities.
