Sec. 1. 17-A MRSA §1205, sub-§1-A is enacted to read:

1-A.__If a prosecuting attorney has probable cause to believe that a person on probation has violated a condition of that person's probation, the attorney may file a motion for probation revocation pursuant to section 1205-C and send a copy of that motion to the person's probation officer.__Upon receipt of the motion, the probation officer may arrest the person pursuant to this section or issue a summons pursuant to section 1205-B.

SUMMARY

This bill allows prosecuting attorneys to file motions to revoke probation.
