| | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows: |

| | | Sec. 1. 17-A MRSA §952, sub-§2-A is enacted to read: |

| | | 2-A.__Casino-style gambling. "Casino-style gambling" means | | gambling conducted by a person, corporation, group or other | | entity as a for-profit business that includes games such as | | blackjack or roulette, slot machines and video lotteries. |
|
| | | Sec. 2. 17-A MRSA §954-A is enacted to read: |

| | | §954-A.__Casino-style gambling authorized |
|
| | | Any individual, group, organization or corporation may be | | licensed to conduct casino-style gambling without regard to | | race, creed, color or place of national origin of the | | individual, group, organization or corporation. |
|
| | | Sec. 3. Contingent effective date. This Act takes effect only if | | casino-style gambling in this State is authorized for any | | individual, group, organization or corporation. |
|
| | | This bill provides that if the operation of a casino is | | authorized in the State, any individual, group, organization | | or corporation may be licensed to conduct casino-style | | gambling without regard to race, creed, color or place of | | national origin. |
