| This bill proposes to establish a study commission to |
| investigate, discuss and report on various Maine-Canada issues |
| such as trade, economic development, Canadian ownership of |
| Maine-based companies, employment and tax matters. The |
| commission would be required to report back to the Legislature |
| with its findings and legislation necessary to improve or |
| alleviate problems between Maine and Canada. |
