Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

SUMMARY

 
This bill is a concept draft pursuant to Joint Rule 208.

 
This bill proposes to establish a schedule for mandatory
sentencing for a motor vehicle operator found guilty of
negligence that caused the death of a motorcycle rider. This
schedule must reflect the penalties currently provided by law
for manslaughter.
