Sec. 1. Policy standards for outdoor playground surfaces. Resolved: That the
Department of Education shall adopt rules to establish policy
standards for outdoor playground surfaces at public elementary
and secondary schools no later than January 1, 2004. The
standards must take effect no later than May 1, 2004. Rules
adopted pursuant to this section are routine technical rules
as defined in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter
375, subchapter 2-A.

 
SUMMARY

 
This resolve requires the Department of Education to adopt
policy standards for outdoor playground surfaces at public
schools.
