Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:

 
Sec. 1. 3 MRSA §5 is enacted to read:

 
§5.__Electronic votes

 
Any roll call vote taken in the Senate or the House of
Representatives must be recorded electronically and the
results posted by the end of the next business day on the
Internet for access by the public.

 
SUMMARY

 
This bill requires a roll call vote that is taken in the
Senate or House of Representatives to be recorded
electronically and the results posted on a publicly accessible
site on the Internet.
