Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §2413, sub-§6 is enacted to read:

6.__Multiple citations.__If a person receives 2 citations for an offense under this section within a period of one year, the person's driver's license is immediately suspended upon issuance of the 2nd citation.__The law enforcement officer issuing the 2nd citation shall take possession of the driver's license of the person.__The driver's license must be kept in the possession of the State until final disposition by the court.

SUMMARY

This bill provides that the driver's license of a person cited twice for driving to endanger within a year will be immediately suspended pending final disposition by the court.
