| | | Sec. 1. 36 MRSA §851 is enacted to read: |

| | | A municipality may by ordinance adopt a plan for | | reimbursement of a portion of the property taxes paid by | | volunteer firefighters and emergency medical services | | personnel. |

| | | This bill permits municipalities to adopt a plan to | | reimburse volunteer firefighters and emergency medical | | services personnel for a portion of property taxes paid to the | | municipality. |
