| | | Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §7831 is enacted to read: |

| | | §7831.__Limitation of liability |

| | | The liability of an organization consisting of volunteers | | with the common purpose of supporting or advancing snowmobile | | activities is limited to $100,000 for a claim arising out of a | | single occurrence involving damages incurred as a result of | | the organization's activity of grooming trails. |

| | | This bill limits the liability of a snowmobile club to | | $100,000 for damages resulting from an accident incident to | | the club's trail-grooming activities. |
