| | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows: |

| | | This bill is a concept draft pursuant to Joint Rule 208. |

| | | This bill proposes to amend the foreclosure of real estate | | laws to: |
|
| | | 1. Allow purchase up to 30 days before a foreclosure | | auction; and |
|
| | | 2. Provide that a tax lien filed against real property | | subject to foreclosure is a personal lien against the owner | | and does not run with the land. |
