A.__The bear is open to view;

B.__A bear tag that conforms to the requirements of section 7451, subsection 4 is securely attached to the bear; or

C.__The person who killed the bear accompanies the bear while it is being moved or transported prior to the lawful registration of that bear.

Sec. 18. 12 MRSA §7452, sub-§14, as amended by PL 1999, c. 322, §3, is repealed.

Sec. 19. 12 MRSA §7452, sub-§15, ¶G, as amended by PL 1981, c. 644, §23, is repealed.

Sec. 20. 12 MRSA §7458, sub-§8, as repealed and replaced by PL 1993, c. 438, §31, is repealed.

Sec. 21. 12 MRSA §7458, sub-§9, as amended by PL 1999, c. 403, §22, is repealed.

Sec. 22. 12 MRSA §7458, sub-§11, as amended by PL 1999, c. 322, §8, is repealed and the following enacted in its place:

11.__Illegally transporting deer.__Except as otherwise provided in chapters 701 to 721 and except as provided in subsection 15, paragraphs C-1 and C-2, a person may not move or transport a deer unless:

A.__The deer is open to view;

B.__A deer tag bearing the name and address of the person who killed the deer that conforms to the requirements of section 7457, subsection 3 is securely attached to the deer; or

C.__The person who killed the deer accompanies the deer while it is being moved or transported prior to the lawful registration of that deer.

Sec. 23. 12 MRSA §7458, sub-§12, as amended by PL 1999, c. 322, §9, is repealed.

Sec. 24. 12 MRSA §7458, sub-§15, ¶H, as enacted by PL 1993, c. 156, §2, is repealed.
