| | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows: |

| | | Sec. 1. 26 MRSA §1418-F, sub-§1, as enacted by PL 1995, c. 560, Pt. | | F, §13, is amended to read: |

| | | 1. Vending facility. To install in that building or | | property a vending facility whenever a vending facility may be | operated by a blind person; and |
|
| | | Sec. 2. 26 MRSA §1418-F, sub-§2, as enacted by PL 1995, c. 560, Pt. | | F, §13, is repealed. |
|
| | | This bill removes the requirement that the officer, board or | | other authority in charge of a public building or property | | grant to the Department of Labor, Division for the Blind and | | Visually Impaired authority to place vending machines operated | | by the division in a building or property if a vending | | facility operated by a blind person is not warranted. |
