Sec. 1. 35-A MRSA §3104 is enacted to read:

§3104.__Monthly meter reading

A transmission and distribution utility as defined in section 102 shall read and record on a monthly basis all active and reasonably accessible meters furnished to that utility's customers for the purpose of measuring the electricity provided by that utility to its customers.

This bill requires a transmission and distribution utility providing electricity to its customers to read and record on a monthly basis the reasonably accessible meters furnished to that utility's customers.
