Sec. 1. 5 MRSA §17057, sub-§3 is enacted to read:

3.__Home contact information.__Records in the possession of the retirement system of home addresses, home telephone numbers, home facsimile transmission numbers or home e-mail addresses of retirement system members, benefit recipients, staff members, board members or nontrustee members of board committees are confidential, are not open to public inspection and are not considered public records as defined in Title 1, section 402, subsection 3.

SUMMARY

This bill provides that records in the possession of the Maine State Retirement System containing home contact information, such as home addresses and telephone numbers, of its members, benefit recipients, trustees, nontrustee members of board committees and staff are confidential and not subject to disclosure as a public record.
