Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 35-A MRSA §7502-A
is enacted to read:
§7502-A.__Directory listings of toll-free numbers
A telephone utility that lists in a directory that it
publishes after the effective date of this section an "800" or
other toll-free number on behalf of a business customer shall
include with that listing the business address to which the
number connects.
SUMMARY
This bill requires a telephone utility that lists in its
directory an "800" or other toll-free number on behalf of a
business customer to include with that listing the address of the
business to which the number connects.
