State Controller shall transfer $10,000,000 along with interest | | from the General Fund to the Retiree Health Insurance Fund as | | repayment. The transfer is considered an interfund loan to be | | repaid with interest of 8% compounded annually on the unpaid | | balance. |

| | | Sec. VV-1. Position authorization. Notwithstanding any other provision | | of law, the Department of Public Safety is authorized to | | establish 2 State Police Sergeant project positions to be | | temporarily assigned to the Maine Criminal Justice Academy for | | each training class. |

| | | 1. It authorizes the Commissioner of Administrative and | | Financial Services to appoint an associate commissioner for | | administrative services as a major-policy influencing position | | within the Department of Administrative and Financial Services. |

| | | 2. It amends Public Law 2003, chapter 20 as it relates to | | positions established in Maine Revenue Services for the tax | | amnesty and enforcement programs by removing the stipulation that | | they are limited-period positions. |
|
| | | 3. It amends the provisions of Public Law 2003, chapter 20 to | | clarify the lease-purchase language for Central Fleet Management | | that applies for each year of the biennium. |
