2.__Sale of bait or baitfish in polystyrene foam containers.__
A person who sells bait or baitfish may not provide or sell the
bait or baitfish in containers that are composed in whole or in
part of polystyrene foam plastic.

 
A person who violates this subsection commits a civil violation
for which a forfeiture of not less than $100 nor more than $500
may be adjudged.

 
3.__Failure to label baitfish traps, drop nets or baitfish
holding boxes. A person may not set or place within the inland
waters of the State any baitfish trap, drop net or baitfish
holding box without having the baitfish trap, drop net or
baitfish holding box plainly labeled with that person's full name
and address.

 
A person who violates this subsection commits a civil violation
for which a forfeiture of not less than $100 nor more than $500
may be adjudged.

 
§12554. Disturbing baitfish traps or baitfish holding boxes

 
A person may not disturb or take any baitfish trap or baitfish
holding box or any fish from any baitfish trap or baitfish
holding box other than that person's own without the consent of
the owner of the baitfish trap or baitfish holding box.

 
A person who violates this section commits a Class E crime.__
The court shall also impose a fine of $20 for each fish
unlawfully possessed, none of which may be suspended.

 
§12555. Checking baitfish traps

 
While trapping for baitfish in the inland waters with the use
of a baitfish trap as defined in section 10001, subsection 7, a
person may not fail to check the baitfish trap or fail to cause
the baitfish trap to be checked at least once in every 7 calendar
days.

 
A person who violates this section commits a civil violation
for which a forfeiture of not less than $100 nor more than $500
may be adjudged.

 
§12556. Importing live bait

 
A person may not import into this State any live fish,
including smelts, that are commonly used for bait fishing in
inland waters.
