The following notice must be printed on each hunting and
fishing license: "This document does not authorize you to enter
private property without permission."

 
§10755.__Intentional issuance of resident license or

 
permit to nonresident

 
A town clerk or agent may not intentionally issue a resident
license or permit to a person who is not a resident.__A person
who violates this section commits a Class E crime.

 
§10756.__Duty to carry and exhibit license or permit

 
A person who holds a license or permit issued under this Part
shall, while engaged in the licensed activity or while
transporting fish, wild animals or wild birds:

 
1.__Carry license or permit.__Have on that person that license
or permit; and

 
2.__Exhibit license or permit.__Exhibit that license or permit
for inspection upon request to a warden or other law enforcement
officer, an employee of the department, a registered Maine guide
or the owner of the land on which the licensed activity is taking
place.

 
A person who violates this section commits a Class E crime.

 
§10757.__Fraudulently obtaining license or permit

 
A person may not obtain a license or permit authorized in this
Part through fraud, misstatement or misrepresentation.__A person
who violates this section commits a Class E crime.

 
§10758.__Possession of altered license or permit

 
A person may not possess a license or permit issued under this
Part__that has been altered, tampered with or mutilated in any
manner.

 
§10759.__Expiration

 
All licenses and permits issued under this chapter expire at
midnight on December 31st of the calendar year for which the
license or permit was issued, unless specifically provided for
otherwise.
