| | Sec. B-114. 12 MRSA §11108-A is enacted to read: |

| §11108-A.__Junior hunting license restrictions |
|
| | 1.__Hunters at least 10 years of age and less than 16 years of | age; supervisor.__A person who is the adult supervisor, parent or | guardian of a holder of a valid junior hunting license under 16 | years of age may not allow that junior hunter to hunt other than | in the presence of: |
|
| A.__That hunter's parent or guardian; or |
|
| B.__A__person at least 18 years of age approved by that | hunter's parent or guardian who either holds a valid Maine | hunting license or has successfully completed a hunter | safety course acceptable under sections 10108 and 11105. |

| | 2. Supervisor; penalties.__The following penalties apply to | violations of subsection 1. |
|
| A.__A person who violates subsection 1 commits a civil | violation for which a fine of not less than $100 nor more | than $500 may be adjudged. |
|
| B.__A person who violates subsection 1 after having been | adjudicated as having committed 3 or more civil violations | under this Part within the previous 5-year period commits a | Class E crime. |
|
| | 3.__Hunters 16 years of age.__A hunter who is 16 years of age | and who is hunting with a valid junior hunting license and who | has not successfully completed a hunter safety course acceptable | under sections 10108 and 11105 may not hunt other than in the | presence of: |

| A.__That hunter's parent or guardian; or |
|
| B.__A__person at least 18 years of age approved by that | hunter's parent or guardian who either holds a valid Maine | hunting license or has successfully completed a hunter | safety course acceptable under sections 10108 and 11105. |
