Sec. VV-1. Position authorization. Notwithstanding any other provision
of law, the Department of Public Safety is authorized to
establish 2 State Police Sergeant project positions to be
temporarily assigned to the Maine Criminal Justice Academy for
each training class.

Sec. WW-1. 26 MRSA §1412-G, as amended by PL 2003, c. 2, Pt. W, §1
and c. 465, §5, is repealed.

 
Sec. WW-2. 26 MRSA §1412-H is enacted to read:

 
§1412-H.__Program of state-funded consumer-directed personal care

 
assistance services

 
1.__Definitions.__As used in this section, unless the context
otherwise indicates, the following terms have the following
meanings.

 
A.__"Applicant" means a person who has applied or is
applying for services through the program.

 
B.__"Bureau" means the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services
within the department, which is the lead agency for
administering the program.

 
C.__"Consumer" means a person who has been determined to be
eligible under subsection 3.

 
D.__"Program" means the program of state-funded consumer-
directed personal care assistance services.
