Fiscal Detail and Notes
	The Milk Handling Tax is expected to increase General Fund revenue by $1,612,800 in fiscal year 2002-03, $13,507,200 in fiscal year 2003-04 and $8,552,084 in fiscal year 2004-05, based on an April 1, 2003 effective date.  This bill also includes a General Fund appropriation of $10,000 in fiscal year 2002-03 for Maine Revenue Services to cover the initial cost of administering the tax. The estimated cost associated with reprogramming the computer system is $42,000.
