| As amended, the bill includes Highway Fund allocations of $41,100 and $45,053 in fiscal years 2003-04 and 2004-05, respectively, for one Clerk IV position and related expenses for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles within the Department of the Secretary of State to suspend vehicle registrations of those people who paid the vehicle excise tax with a bad check. The bureau will also collect increased revenues for the Highway Fund from reinstatement fees; the estimated amounts will be $2,011 and $2,681 in fiscal years 2003-04 and 2004-05, respectively. | |||||||
