| Included in the amounts above is a one-time General Fund appropriation already in the bill to the Department of Behavioral and Development Services of $300,000 in fiscal year 2003-04 for three county jail mental illness treatment pilot programs. Also shown above but not yet in the bill is an annual General Fund appropriation of $33,200 to the Department of Corrections for the required training. In addition to the amounts shown, the Department of Behavioral and Development Services will also require significant additional General Fund appropriations for the construction and operational costs associated with adding beds at the new Riverside Psychiatric Center. | |||||||
