By
committing any unexpended balances in the TANF or Parents as Scholars
programs, this bill would reduce amounts that would otherwise lapse back to
the General Fund. There are no
unexpended balances currently estimated for the TANF or Parents as Scholars
programs for state fiscal years 2002-03 or 2003-04. Should these programs have unexpended balances, the specified
uses in this bill would need to be coordinated with those already specified
in 22 MRSA §3769-C. In addition, 22
§3762(3)(B)(6) that limits the housing needs allowance to $50 would also need
to be amended. |
