This
bill would result in a redistribution of the available funds for General
Purpose Aid for Local Schools with some school administrative units receiving
an increase in subsidy and some units receiving a decrease in subsidy. The impact to the individual units cannot
be determined until the Cobol programming for the school funding formula is
revised and will depend on the level of funding approved for General Purpose
Aid for Local Schools in the Governor's proposed Current Services budget for
the 2004-2005 biennium. The
Department of Education will incur some minor costs associated with revising
the Cobol programming. These costs
can be absorbed by the Department utilizing existing budgeted resources. |
