	Based on July 1, 2000 data , the cost for the inclusion of past service between August 31, 1984 and September 1, 2000 in the special retirement plan was $3,845,582.  The actual amount needed to fully fund the special plan can not be determined at this time and will require the Maine State Retirement System to have its actuary determine the amount.
