The
Department of Economic and Community Development will require a General Fund
appropriation of $50,000 in fiscal year 2003-04 to contract for services to
conduct the study and issue the required report. This cost includes $15,000 to assess where the State has
business excellence competence and $35,000 to identify where the State has
unique expertise and competitive advantage and assumes the Department utilizes existing data to perform the
study. If the Department is required
to conduct a survey of businesses to identify and measure these factors in
practice, an additional General Fund appropriation of $50,000 would be
required. |
