| Assumes 300 such filings will result under this bill. Assumes the need for 2 contracted hearings officers and 7 additional positions in the Bureau of Insurance; including a supervisory actuary and two actuarial assistants to produce the written actuarial analyses, and two advocacy panels each consisting of an attorney and an actuarial assistant separate from the staff completing the analysis. In addition to the contract costs of the hearings officers, the fiscal note also assumes "all other" costs for rent, computers, equipment, etc. The Bureau may also need to generate additional revenue under its assessment authority to cover these additional costs. The fiscal note assumes a 10/1/03 effective date. | |||||||
