| Requiring the Office of Policy and Legal Analysis and the Office of the Revisor of Statutes to complete the recodification by December 1, 2004 and prepare a bill for submission to the First Regualr Session of the 122nd Legsialture will result in a financial impact to the legislative budget in an amount that can not be determined at this time. The amount of overtime that may be incurred will depend on the level of staff resources required to meet the proposed deadline and the number of interim studies that the Legislative Council approves requiring staffing by OPLA. The additional costs associated with printing and distributing the proposed recodification are estimated to be approximately $2,500 in FY 05. The Legislature has budgeted $20,000 in fiscal year 2004-05 for legislative studies. Whether this amount is sufficient to fund all studies and the requirements of this resolve will depend on the number of studies authorized by the Legislative Council and the Legislature. Costs to the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation to participate in preparing the proposed recodification can be absorbed utilizing existing budgeted resources. | ||||||||
