Regulating
the sale of products containing brominated chemicals will require allocations
for the Solid Waste Management Fund in the Department of Environmental
Protection in the amounts of $33,000 in fiscal year 2004-05, $46,500 in
fiscal year 2005-06, $21,000 in fiscal year 2006-07 and approximately $13,000
annually thereafter. These
allocations will provide funds for consulting services to handle the report
required in section 2, rulemaking expenses, fee collection expenses and other
personnel-related regulatory expenses.
Funding for these allocations will come from fees that will be
established pursuant to rulemaking effective July 1, 2005. There is adequate funding in the fund to
cover the allocation in fiscal year 2004-05 until the fees begin the
following year. The annual collection
of fees is expected to be sufficient for the required annual costs
thereafter. |
