Fiscal Detail and Notes
This amendment reduces the General Fund cost of the bill by $2,370 per year beginning in fiscal year 2004-05.  A $500 Other Special Revenue Funds allocation to the Legislature is removed.
As amended, this bill includes on-going General Fund appropriations of $10,000 per year beginning in fiscal year 2004-05 to the Employment Services Activity program within the Department of Labor for the staffing and general operating expenses of the Commission with the exception of the costs associated with legislative members.
Costs associated with the per diem and expenses for legislative members of the Citizen Trade Policy Commission, estimated to be $2,520 in fiscal year 2004-05, will be absorbed by the Legislative budget.
As amended, this bill authorizes the commission to seek outside funding from other sources and requires the Department of Labor to administer the fund.  Sufficient Other Special Revenue Funds allocations exist within the Employment Services Activity program in the Department of Labor for any outside funding that may be received by the commission.
