	Prohibiting the retail sale of automobile gasoline containing MTBE will reduce costs incurred by the Department of Environmental Protection to clean up gasoline spills.  However, the exact impact can not be determined at this time since it is unknown whether the MTBE will be replaced by another additive that could be equally as problematic.
