Requiring
school administrative units to develop and approve a regional plan for a
common school calendar by September 2005 is a mandate. The cost to each school administrative
unit can not be determined at this time but is not expected to be
significant. Pursuant to the Mandate
Preamble, the two-thirds vote of all members elected to each House exempts
the State from the constitutional requirement to fund 90% of the additional
local costs. |
